Welcome.
As you know, much of education today is financed by student loans and other financial aid. The process can be daunting, filing FAFSA /CSS forms, understanding offer letters, deciding which loans/grants to accept, and will they be available all 4 years, understanding loan repayment options, meeting all those deadlines, and even understanding the true cost of for-profit colleges. We offer you resources and options on this site to help de-mystify the process. If you find the site beneficial, please tell someone, and share your own experiences to benefit the nation. Reminder: Your Student Loans May Be Coming Due!

Did you just graduate from college in the Spring of this year (2013)?   If so, you are probably nearing the end of your grace period.   Your grace period is that six months (in most cases) that your lender allows you as a reprieve before you are required to start paying back your loan.   Well it is supposed to give you time to get a job, and settle in for the long repayment relationship.

You haven't received anything from your lender?  You should have.  Have you changed your email address?  If you have, you will want to contact your lender so that they will  have a correct email address for you, and while you are at it, update your postal (snail mail) address with them too, so you know what is happening with your loan.   Student loans are like dough rising, if you leave them alone long enough, without disturbance when you come back, it may have morphed to four times its original size, and you don't want that.

Here's what to do from a previous post.

Check on your student loan info here if you have federal loans.
